Yelie was a Ph.D. student in the Department of Statistics, University of Connecticut. His research interests was in social network analysis, network generation and rewiring. As the department webmaster, he maintained several websites including the Department of Statistics at the University of Connecticut, the New England Statistical Society (NESS), and the New England Journal of Statistics in Data Science (NEJSDS). His placement was Consumer and Community Banking Risk Program Associate, JP Morgan.
